Take a trip to Bala Lake on the Bala Lake Railway
Bala Lake Railway provides an ideal centrepiece for a day’s visit to Bala Lake. The nine mile return journey takes you alongside the lake, through the Snowdonia National Park.
The one hour round trip can be broken down at any of the stations to enjoy other activities - a pleasant 10 minutes walk into Bala town for shopping or merely browsing.
There is access to the lake shore at Llangower station for swimming, fishing or simply lazing by the waterside. Bala Lake Railway also runs special events throughout the year, take a look at the Bala Lake Railway website to see what’s coming up.
